New Zealand’s leading industry training provider

Our industry-experienced experts are here to deliver training that makes a difference. We work at the sharp end of industry. The place where, if things go wrong, people can get hurt. So, our training is about more than compliance. It’s about measurable results and a safer, happier, more-productive workplace.

Trusted to keep Kiwis safe since 1998

We’ve been Axiom Training since 2019, but when we first started in Huntly in 1998 we were known as AMS Group. But it’s not just our name that has changed over that time, we’ve grown from a vehicle licensing trainer to a nationwide private training establishment providing a comprehensive range of industry training solutions to some of New Zealand’s largest businesses and Kiwi workers. And with branches dotted around the North and South Islands, we can cover training for almost every business in the country.

Axiom’s Managing Director Kevin Wall has a clear ethos for the business – every Kiwi worker has a right to go home safe to their family at the end of every day. And so, safety drives everything we do.

We train the big guys, the economic powerhouses that mean so much to a country our size. We train smaller enterprises, New Zealand’s economic backbone, running hard to keep their customers happy and their businesses growing. We train individuals too; from people who haven’t had the breaks come their way and need a second chance to those aiming at a tertiary qualification or a new career.

And we train them better, because of the quality of our trainers. They’re drawn from industry, with all the real-word experience and skills that brings.

NZQA and NZTA Accredited

Our reputation for quality and reliability is underpinned by our extensive NZQA accreditations. We are committed to meeting government priorities by staircasing people into employment while providing a broad spectrum of industry training that provides our commercial client peace of mind.

Axiom is also an approved NZTA license provider.

We're flexible to suit your needs

While our expertise is important, it’s our flexibility we’re most proud of. It’s all part of the service. We know training isn’t easy to fit in when you’re run off your feet. And that learning in your own workplace, at your own pace, in your own style, can make all the difference. That’s why learning about your specific business is the first thing we do.

Whatever the business, whatever the training need, there’s one name New Zealanders can count on for the industry training they need.

Axiom. The training authority

Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Students

Axiom Training is committed to supporting the wellbeing and safety of our learners. Along with other tertiary education providers in New Zealand, Axiom Training must ensure that it is compliant with the expectations set out in the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.

What is the Code?

The Code was developed by the Ministry of Education to document a range of requirements designed to support the wellbeing and safety of domestic and international students through one set of clear rules and expectations. The Code covers learners having opportunities to have their voices heard and topics such as physical safety and inclusion, access to advice and support services, physical and mental health support, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Annual self-review of pastoral care

As part of the Code, Axiom Training is required to undertake an annual self-review to assess whether it is meeting the Code's expectations. The self-review process involves gathering input and ideas for improvement from leaner voice and relevant data. A copy of our Education Code of Practice Strategic Goals is available below.

What do I do if I have a concern?

The code requires all institutions to have fair and equitable internal grievance procedures for learners. If you have any concerns about your wellbeing and safety at Axiom Training, the first thing you must do is contact the General Manager of Axiom Training. You need to go through the Axiom Training complaints procedure before you can take the complaint any further. For further information visit NZQA - https://www.nzqa.govt.nz/about-us/make-a-complaint/

Please contact us, if you wish to discuss this further.
